Nashville to Pensacola (We've Arrived!)

Sunday, February 26th, 2023   

    Today we finish our long journey to Florida but that doesn't me that we are done with the trip. HA! Far from it my friend we are just getting started! Once we get to Florida we will begin performing and continuing farther south until we run out of land, then we double back and head north. But, enough of that, we still have to get to Florida!

    We got coffee in the morning at Ugly Mug, a very cute coffee shop drive through in a suburb outside of Nashville. I saw Arkansas for the first time in person! Ruth Anna drove for a while and we stopped at a Bucee's for the first time. I opted for a nap and Ruth Anna got to experience the slightly underwhelming but VERY busy gas station/ grocery store for herself. In her words, "hm, I've got no words".

    We got back on the road and witnessed our second car incident, this time a high speed chase between a motorcycle and four cop cars! Instead of joining we stopped for gas and Erin took the wheel again. As we stopped we experienced what I can only describe as the, "smell of florida". It was muggy, humid, floral with a hint of the ocean. We were excited!

    It was dark when we arrived in Pensacola, Florida. We swung by Aldi for a very fast pitstop before arriving at the worlds cutest pink airstream, our first Airbnb on our trip. Waiting for us was a grumpy looking tabby cat named Jasmine, she loved attention and hung out with us around the fire pit. Inside we prepped for our first week making sandwiches, salads and getting comfy. We ended our night by making smores with Jasmine and watching the stars. Then we cranked up the AC and fell asleep in a tiny windstorm of our own creation, welcome to Florida!
